Western Australia’s Aaron Caratti (Parklands on Bertram) has won his first ever Carrera Cup race after taking out Race One at the FORMULA 1™ ING Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne this afternoon.
Caratti backed up his maiden pole position from earlier in the day to lead from start to finish winning the first of four races for the weekend.

Irish international driver Hector Lestor showed he is clearly enjoying his Australian ‘sojourn’ that began at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide by putting his Ferrari 430 GT3 on pole after the qualifying session at Round 3 of the Australian GT Championship at the ING Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix this afternoon.

The top teams in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 will be eligible for $300,000 in cash bonuses during the 2008 season under the Rolex Series’ Pirelli PaceSetters program that goes into effect today. At the end of the season, the Italian tire manufacturer will award a $100,000 bonus to the top Daytona Prototype team.

Audi finally got one back over Peugeot
Audi's Dindo Capello fired back at Peugeot on Wednesday by posting the fastest time for the first official practice session for the 56th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida, the opening race of the 2008 American Le Mans Series. Capello's lap of 1:45.491 in the diesel-powered Audi R10 TDI was 0.017 seconds better than Stephane Sarrazin in the Peugeot 908.
