Scuderia Ecosse Positive for 2008

Continuing their pre 2008 season plans, the team recently enjoyed a second highly successful two day Pirelli tyre test session, this time at Monteblanco racing circuit which offered them the opportunity to run their GT2 Ferrari 430 on various Pirelli compounds.

Intense Testing for Edil Cris

Intensive week for Racing Team Edil Cris. The Team took part on Monday and Tuesday to collective test of the International GT Open with two F430 GTC Ferraris, one in 2007 configuration and the other in 2008, but both equipped with the air restrictors used in the Italian Championship, which are more limited than those employed in the Spanish series.

Positive Test for CR Scuderia

CR Scuderia has just completed a two-day test at the high-speed Monza circuit in Italy. The first day of the test was the traditional FIA GT Media Day but once the photoshoots and interviews were done the team got down to business, preparing for the new season.

The 2008 season got underway today, with the first official test session in sunny Monza. Bright spring weather greeted the teams and drivers, who set off for three sessions.

The first two-day official test of the season for the cars taking part in the 2008 FIA GT3 European Championship concluded in Monza today, with the nr 1 Martini Callaway Corvette Z06 setting the best time of the day, with a lap of 1:53.067 from Sascha Bert. This was just one thousandth of a second slower than the overall best time, set by Richard Westbrook in the Prospeed Competition Porsche GT3 on Thursday.

Although the first race will not take place until April 20th, at Silverstone, the 2008 season of the FIA GT Championship got underway today, with the first of two days of testing at Monza, where the official launch was held today.

Risi Competizione Announces New Driver Pairing For Remaining ALMS


Risi Competizione have announced a new driver paring for the #61 car

Risi Competizione is pleased to announce that former Formula One driver, Patrick Friesacher, and Grand-Am regular, Harrison Brix, will be joining the team for the 2008 American Le Mans Series from St Petersburg onwards.
The Austrian-American pairing will be driving the no. 61 Risi Competizione Ferrari 430 GT alongside their Championship-winning team mates, Jaime Melo and Mika Salo, and both drivers will be making their debut in the world’s most buoyant racing series.

Audi Confirms Two Cars for Full ALMS Season


Audi will field two cars in the ALMS and the Le Mans Series in 2008

Audi AG confirmed Friday that it will enter two cars for a full-season run in the 2008 American Le Mans Series season. Audi Sport North America will field two factory R10 TDI diesel-powered prototypes as it goes for a third straight LMP1 championship.

Suzuka: MOTUL AUTECH GT-R Qualifies 1st in its GT Debut!

The qualifying for the SUZUKA GT 300km, Round 1 of the 2008 AUTOBACS SUPER GT, took place at the Suzuka Circuit (one lap 5.807 km) in Mie Pref. on March 15. Driving the MOTUL AUTECH GT-R, Michael Krumm won the pole position as the fastest qualifier and will start from the front row in the race on the 16th.
In the first qualifying session in the morning, Krumm ran the second fastest lap time. In the first afternoon session he qualified for the Super Lap for the top ten qualifiers (time trials run individually).
