Gainsco-Bob Stallings Team Keep Busy At Gainsco Grand Prix Of Miami Test

A full schedule of business at and away from the race track kept reigning Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series Champions GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing busy in Miami last week where two-days of testing at Homestead-Miami Speedway was combined with a corporate visit to the Miami-based headquarters of GAINSCO Auto Insurance. The Homestead test was in preparation for next month's GAINSCO Grand Prix of Miami, which is the kick-off event of a Saturday, March 29, double-header that also includes the GAINSCO Auto Insurance Indy 300.

van der Merwe joins James Watt Automotive for the test days

Alan van der Merwe will get the opportunity to test the Aston Martin Vantage GT2 during the Aston Martin Racing exclusive test day at HTT Paul Ricard on 5th March 2008. This will be Alan's first run in modern GT machinery where his experience and success in a Formula 1 car will prove very competitive during the races and vital in the development of the car during testing. Alain had been looking at potential drives in the US for 2008 but when the opportunity to join JWA and the burgeoning Le Mans Series arrived he was quick to make himself available.

The QUIFEL-ASM Team achieved the third best time in tests at the Paul Ricard circuit, in the MP2 class, held Sunday (2nd March) and yesterday. This test was preparation for the Le Mans Series 2008.

HTTT: Charouz Aston Martin has Another Positive test


Another successful test for the Aston Martin powered LMP1 Coupe

The brand new LMP1 prototype powered by Aston Martin completed two further days of successful running when the car took part in the official Le Mans Series test at the HTTT Paul Ricard track in Le Castellet, Southern France. The Aston Martin powered prototype experienced problem-free running over four separate sessions during the test in preparation for the opening race in Barcelona in April.

Six Lola Le Mans Prototype sportscars were in action at the LMS Paul Ricard test in the South of France on Sunday and Monday of this week (2&3 March). All eyes were firmly fixed on Lola's all-new LMP1 and LMP2 Coupes, which included a track debut for the Speedy Racing Team Sebah Lola LMP2 entry. The Hugh Hayden led Speedy Sebah team enjoyed a good initial shakedown test in the South of France with Andrea Belicchi, Xavier Pompidou, Robbie Kerr and Steve Zacchia all driving the Judd powered Lola.

Marco Andretti will line up in the AGR Acura for Sebring

More than 40 years after the name first competed at Sebring, the Andretti name is returning to the cockpit for the 56th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida. Marco Andretti will drive the XM Satellite Radio Acura ARX-01b entered by Andretti Green Racing, of which his father Michael is a principal owner. The youngest Andretti will team with Bryan Herta and Christian Fittipaldi in America's greatest sports car race.
