The British GT Championship moves to Knockhill next week so, straight after the Oulton Park season-opener, CR Scuderia headed off to the Scottish track to test in preparation for this race meeting.

With news of the tragic loss of David Leslie and his Apex Motorsport team members still sinking in, it was a more subdued Scuderia Ecosse team spent who spent a busy day tyre testing at Knockhill racing circuit in Fife. With Monza still fresh in the team’s mind the Scuderia Ecosse GT squad was able to build on the success of their recent Italian test and further improved the balance and lap times over long runs in the spring sunshine.

The LAVAGGI LS1 - AER, built by the Monegasque team bearing the same name, will bring forward it's first appearance in the "Le Mans Series", participating in the first champion race, the "1000 KM of Catalunya" taking place the 4th, 5th and 6th of April.

Catalunya will be the first outing for the '2008' Michelin tyres in Europe

The 2008 Le Mans Series (LMS) gets underway on Sunday at the Catalunya Circuit. For Michelin this will be the first outing for the "2008" tyres under race conditions in Europe. The first leg of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) which took place on 15th and 16th March at Sebring, already gave some indication of what to expect from the 2008 tyres.

The 2008 Le Mans Series season starts this coming weekend with a 1000km race at the Circuit de Catalunya near to Barcelona, and once more the Team Modena Aston Martin DBR9 will be a front-runner in the GT1 category. With the car now running to the latest factory specification and a strong driver line-up featuring Team Modena regular Antonio Garcia and the very experienced Tomas Enge, hopes are high that the team can start the season with an impressive performance.

A new car, new sponsor and renewed vigor will see Spyker through 2008

This weekend, after completing earlier pre-season tests in Portugal and France, SNORAS Spyker Squadron is ready to kick-off it’s 2008 motor sport season. The team will compete this weekend in the first race of the five round Le Mans Series.
