Vallelunga: Double Win for Playteam

Scuderia Playteam SaraFree started the 2008 season in the best possible way, as Andrea Montermini-Michele Maceratesi and Manuel Gião-Pedro Couceiro took their Ferraris F430 to a beautiful double win in the Pro-Am Race in Vallelunga. The blue F430s had a relatively easy race, which had started under the command of the SunRed SR21 of Pérez-Aicart, later slowed down and retired after losing the front body. Advanced Engineering took third (Pasini-Bonetti) and fourth (Casè-Rugolo), completing the success of the Ferraris, while Autorlando Porsche of Lietz-Roda was fifth.

Vallelunga: Pasini-Bonetti Give Advanced Engineering Superb First Victory

Advanced Engineering conquered its maiden victory in the International GT Open after winning a thrilling GT Open race in Vallelunga with Frenchman Damien Pasini and Italian Alessandro Bonetti. The fight in the final laps was absolutely bretah-taking between the two AE Ferraris of Casé and the sister car of Playteam driven by Montermini. A contact beteen the leading car of Casé and Montermini left the first one out of the race, but Montermini was later impeccably overtaken by Pasini. Third place in the race was for the Edil Cris Ferrari of Monfardini-Frezza. Championship standings are led by Montermini-Maceratesi (40 points) ahead of PAsini- Bonetti (36), Giao-Couceiro (28) and Monfardini-Frezza (16)
