Monza: Lunardi Takes a Thriller


The fights went all the way through the field

What a race! The second round at Monza was an intense battle, where the top places hung in the balance right down to the chequered flag. The 2007 champion Dino Lunardi managed to pull away from the rest of the pack, as he had done yesterday, to claim his second win of the weekend. At the end of the first meeting of the season, Briton Simon Moulton leads the standings, in front of a promising field.

Jan Seyffarth takes his first Porsche Supercup win

Stuttgart. Jan Seyffarth (Germany) won the third round of the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup at the Spanish Grand Prix. Driving for Konrad Motorsport, the 21-year-old former UPS-Porsche junior took up the 14-lap race from pole position and after a faultless race saw the chequered flag first after 26:16.910 minutes. For Seyffarth, this success on the 4.63 kilometre Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona (Spain) marks the first in a Porsche brand trophy.

(April 27, 2008) - After a weekend which included limited practice time for one driver and probation placed on another, Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas extended their Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 Daytona Prototype point lead in Sunday's Bosch Engineering 250 at Virginia International Raceway.
