Thruxton: Duncan Tappy Close To Porsche Carrera Cup Podium

• Race 2: Qualified 7th DNF

Duncan Tappy came within four laps of a podium finish when he made his appearance in the Porsche Carrera Cup at Thruxton this weekend as a reward for making it as a McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year Award finalist. Duncan took part in a test at the Hampshire circuit six weeks ago, the track where he works as a race instructor.

INDIANAPOLIS (May 19, 2008) -- The transporter used by Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series team Wayne Taylor Racing was severely damaged Monday afternoon as it traveled east on Interstate 40 in Texas. The transporter caught fire while it was returning to its headquarters in Indianapolis from the Rolex Sports Car Series race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca near Monterey, Calif.
