A roaring success with the 110 000 strong crowd, this weekend's British round of the World Series by Renault at Silverstone was also a resounding personal success for Maxime Martin (Boutsen Energy Racing) who carried off wins in both Eurocup Mégane Trophy races. In the championship standings, he closed the gap on Michaël Rossi (TDS) who is currently second behind Dimitri Enjalbert (Tech 1 Racing).

Galati used the yellows to his advantage in his win
WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (June 8, 2008) – In a race that was effectively over when a lap nine incident brought out a race-ending caution, Michael Galati, of Olmsted, Ohio, used a restart to take his first SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car win of the season. Peter Cunningham, of Milwaukee , Wis. , and Pierre Kleinubing, of Coconut Creek , Fla. , completed the podium for the Round Six race at Watkins Glen International, part of the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen weekend.

Pobst was able to hold off the field to win at Watkins Glen
WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (June 8, 2008) – After a historic weekend in 2007 saw him win all three SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge races, Randy Pobst’s 2008 trip to Watkins Glen International may not have been as busy, competing in just one event, but was successful nonetheless, winning the SCCA SPEED GT Round Four race from the pole. Andy Pilgrim, of Boca Raton , Fla. , and Michael Galati, of Olmsted , Ohio , completed the top three.

MONTREAL June 8 -- Tony Rivera, Houston, Texas, continued his winning streak in the IMSA Challenge by Michelin Gold Cup passing Dino Steiner, Wehingen, Germany, on the first lap of round six to take his first overall victory in 2008 at the Canadian Grand Prix.

The Ford GT was victorious at Snetteron
Bradley Ellis and Alex Mortimer secured the first win for the Ford GT in the Avon Tyres British GT Championship, taking the chequered flag in the sunshine at Snetterton just 2.8 seconds ahead of championship leaders Jon Barnes and James Gornall in the Team Trimite Brookspeed Viper, with James Sutton and Michael Meadows a distant third. Matt Nicol-Jones and Stewart Linn returned to the top step of the GT4 podium to record their 4th win of the year to extend their GT4 championship lead.

The Corvette team has a lot of Le Mans experience to draw off
Corvette Racing's group of drivers for the 24 Hours of Le Mans has a record any team in the paddock would envy. The six pilots have combined for 144 class wins in the American Le Mans Series and 17 at Le Mans with Corvette Racing winning five times since 2001.
