Mid Ohio: De Ferran Leads an Acura Front Row + Grid


In only the team's third race, de Ferran Acura has snared pole position

Gil de Ferran won his third straight pole position at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Friday...seven years since his last. The storybook debut season for De Ferran Motorsports continued with de Ferran's first pole in the American Le Mans Series, a record-breaking 1:07.969 (119.596 mph) for the Acura Sports Car Challenge.

(July 19, 2008) - The SunTrust Racing Pontiac Dallara will start from the pole for tomorrow's Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 Porsche 250 presented by Bradley Arant. The Banner Racing Pontiac GXP.R of Kelly Collins and Paul Edwards will start from the second position in GT.

Mid-Ohio: Cunningham Takes Second-Straight SPEED TC Pole

LEXINGTON, Ohio (July 19, 2008) – Peter Cunningham, of Milwaukee, Wis., went more than two seasons without a pole position, but he took his second SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car pole in-a-row Saturday in preparation for Sunday’s Round Seven race, part of the Acura Sports Car Challenge/Honda Indy 200 weekend at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Teammate Kuno Wittmer, of Montreal , will start second.

LEXINGTON, Ohio (July 19, 2008) – Tommy Archer, of Duluth, Minn., captured his second SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge GT pole of the season and will lead the field at the start of Sunday afternoon’s Mid-Ohio SPEED GT Presented by Remington race. Brandon Davis, of Huntington Beach , Calif. , will start second.
