Hockenheim (DE). After 30 years, the BMW M1 Procar Series made its comeback to the circuit today, Saturday, with a host of big names and a host of fun. Ten celebrity-manned examples of the close to 500 hp mid-engined racers delivered the first of two show races on the Hockenheimring as part of the support programme of the German Formula One Grand Prix.

Jaap Van Lagen is on pole for the German round

Stuttgart. The qualifying for the eighth round of the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup promises an exciting race. Darren Turner, winner of the GT1 class of the 24 Heures du Mans for the past two years, will join Gigawave MotorSport for the Total 24 Hours of Spa race.

Keith Jones, the fueler for de Ferran Motorsports who was injured Saturday in a pit lane fueling incident at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course during the Acura Sports Car Challenge, was transported by medical helicopter to The Ohio State University Medical Center. As of Saturday evening, he was listed in critical condition in the intensive care unit of the hospital.

Audi fought through after a poor qualifying session to dominate the race podium

Audi returned to its dominating style at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course with a 1-2 finish in the Acura Sports Car Challenge on Saturday with Lucas Luhr and Marco Werner taking the first overall victory for the R10 TDI since April. Luhr crossed the finish line 7.717 seconds ahead of teammates Emanuele Pirro and Dindo Capello.
