ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (Aug. 9, 2008) – Pierre Kleinubing, of Coconut Creek, Fla., captured his record-extending 34th SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car Championship pole position in preparation for Sunday’s SCCA SPEED Touring Car Round Eight race, part of the Road Race Showcase weekend at Road America. Jason Saini, of Fort Worth , Texas , will start second.

Tommy Archer took pole by a tiny margin from Jason Daskalos

ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (Aug. 9, 2008) – Tommy Archer, of Duluth, Minn., claimed his second-straight SCCA Pro Racing SPEED GT pole in qualifying for Sunday’s Road America SPEED GT Presented by Remington. Jason Daskalos, of Albuquerque , N.M. , will start second in the Round Five race.

It was no surprise that Audi won at Road America - a track that suits P1 cars

Audi scored its second straight 1-2 finish in the 2008 American Le Mans Series with Marco Werner and Lucas Luhr taking a 2.463-second victory Saturday in the Generac 500 presented by Time Warner Cable. Diesel power won overall at Road America for the first time since 2006 as Werner crossed the finish line just ahead of teammate Marcel Fässler.
