Road America: Much To Be Decided in Speed GT and Touring Cars


The last time SPEED Touring Car was at Road America Peter Cunningham wore No. 1 on the side of his car.

ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (Aug. 6, 2008) - From Watkins Glen to Mid-Ohio and now Road America , SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge continues its tour of North America ’s greatest road courses. While SCCA SPEED Touring Car has hit the home stretch (Round Eight), SCCA SPEED GT commences the second half of its season, with the Road America SPEED GT Presented by Remington serving as Round Six. There is still much to be decided in both classes.

The Tour de Road America Returns to Elkhart Lake

The Tour de Road America – Bike Ride to Fight Cancer presented by Delta Dental returns to Elkhart Lake's Road America 4.048-mile, 14-turn auto racing circuit for the fifth time at 7 p.m. Friday. The event coincides with the Road Race Showcase weekend of auto races at the track.

The American Le Mans Series is full of fantastic tracks and venues but none enjoy the popularity of Road America. Year in and year out, the classic 14-turn, 4.048-mile circuit ranks as the favorite of teams and drivers throughout the paddock. There are many reasons. Hungary: Faulkner Celebrates Clear Flag to Flag Victory


Faulkner won his second race of the season at Budapest

Stuttgart. Reigning vice-champion Damien Faulkner (Ireland) claimed his second victory of the season at the ninth round of the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup on the Hungaroring near Budapest. With this result, the 31-year-old SAS Lechner Racing team pilot moved up the points’ ladder into second.
