The happy winners of the 2008 season

The American Le Mans Series honored its drivers, teams, crews and manufacturers Sunday night at the season-ending banquet in Monterey, Calif,, site of Saturday's Monterey Sports Car Championships presented by Patrón. In addition to honoring its champions, the Series also awarded several special awards to deserving recipients.

Ivan Capelli will race a Maserati Trofeo at the final round of the Australian GT Championship

Melbourne based team Trofeo Motorsport has today confirmed its entry into
the final round of the Australian GT Championship scheduled for Sandown
Raceway over the November 29/30 weekend. This will mark the debut of the
Trofeo Motorsport team into the Australian GT Championship with their three
FIA GT3 Maserati Trofeo Light cars which were campaigned in the 2006
European GT3 Championship. This event marks the next phase in the
development of the Trofeo team leading to a full scale assault on the
Australian GT Championship in 2009.
