Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 competitors finished off the two-day November Test Days on Wednesday at Daytona International Speedway, learning much about the 2009-specification Pirelli P Zero tires and coming away with sufficient track time.

Barwell Motorsport to Enter LMS, FIA GT3 in 2009


Barwell will return to Europe, while it is unclear what Drayson will do in 2009

British GT/sportscar team, Barwell Motorsport, is returning to European competition in 2009, having spent this season contesting the American Le Mans Series (ALMS). The former British GT Champions operated under the banner of ‘Drayson-Barwell’ in the 2008 ALMS, as part of its joint venture with driver Paul Drayson. The Surrey-based outfit, which is an official partnership team of Aston Martin Racing, spent the season honing the new Aston Martin Vantage GT2 into a competitive proposition against world class opposition in the US.

It was a year long battle between the Porsches, Acuras and Audis for outright honours

If people thought the 2007 American Le Mans Series was a classic, then the 2008 edition will go down in the record books as one of the best championships ever.

It was arguably the most competitive Championship of any in 2008. ALMS fans were treated to numerous late race passes and outright wins from the Audis, Penske Porsches, Andretti-Green and Highcroft Acuras.
