San Luis: AF Corse Preview

The last event of FIA Gt Championship 2008 will take place in San Luis (Argentina). For the first time ever in the FIA Gt history, we race on this track, which is 6.250 meters long and is second only to Spa-Francorchamps for length. Despite the fact that Af Corse has already won all the available awards, the team got ready for this event as it has always done, paying attention to the details and with the maximum of professionalism, in order to achieve also this time the best performance possible.

The final race of the year for CRS is a trip into the unknown, to San Luis in Argentina and a brand new race track, the “Lago Potrero de los Funes”. This is an important race for CRS as the team wants to end the season on a high note, in the same way the British GT and Formula Renault seasons ended. The drivers have a new circuit to learn and, with no extra track time allocated, it’s going to be the fast-learners who have the upper hand.

MazdaSpeed Ladder Drivers Try Out For Rolex 24 At Daytona

Sylvain Tremblay has a "good problem". He is seeking to lead the SpeedSource Castrol Mazda RX-8 team to a repeat win at the 2009 Rolex 24 at Daytona. Sylvain is searching for a fourth driver to join the team of Tremblay, Nick Ham, and David Haskell. While every team owner has a stack of driver resumes to consider, Tremblay has a list of several dozen who have all won with Mazda power in the past year.

Honda Engine Approved For Grand-Am Rolex Series Competition

Margraf Racing, working in conjunction with Comptech USA, has successfully completed the approval process of a Honda engine for use in Daytona Prototypes of the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16. The Honda engine is a production based 24 valve, DOHC V6, displacing 3.9 liters.

Sandown: Exciting Grid Assembles for Season Finale


It has been a turbulent year for the GT Championship but it will close on a high at Sandown

The 2008 Australian GT Championship will be decided at the final round to be held next week-end at the Sandown International Raceway (November 28-30).

Three drivers, Mark Eddy (Lamborghini Gallardo), John Kaias (Aston Martin DBRS9), and Ross Lilley (Dodge Viper) have the opportunity to take their first Australian GT title dependent on results on the demanding 3.1 kilometre Melbourne circuit, with two hour long races scheduled for the multi-million dollar field.
