Monza: 2 Races, 2 Wins for the Ford GT

Another weekend - another success for Matech

Following on from the spectacular start at Silverstone, with the two victories of the Ford GTs of Mutsch and Khan, the Matech Racing team headed on down to Monza, for the following round of the FIA GT3 European championship. Notwithstanding the temperamental weather conditions, both the free practice as also the qualifying sessions proved that the three Ford GTs entered by the Swiss team were on tune, the power beasts achieving impressive grouped results; 3rd, 4th and 5th places for the first leg, prior to Thomas Mutsch clinching another pole position allowing him to take on the morning heat in full confidence.

24 Hours of Le Mans: 24 Good Reasons To Be There!

#24 - Just for the simple pleasure of saying, “I was there!”

#1.
Feel awed by the start between earth and space
100 years ago the first flight by an aircraft on European soil took place on Les Hunaudières, and the 2008 Le Mans 24 Hours will commemorate this historic event. A replica of the 1908 Flyer will be towed down the pit straight by a car from Le Mans, a Léon Bollée. On board will be French astronaut Jean-Loup Chrétien, American astronaut Mark Brown and Russian cosmonaut Vladimir Titov. They will give the start by waving the French flag at the same time as the residents in the International Orbiting Station, which will overfly Le Mans some 400 kms above the circuit!
