Snetterton: Seat and BMW Share the Spoils

Jason Plato has won the first of today’s three HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship rounds at the Snetterton circuit in Norfolk.

Plato led all the way from pole position to rack up the 41st race win of his BTCC career. Team-mate Darren Turner followed him throughout to finish second and give SEAT’s turbo-diesel Leon TDI model its first 1-2 result in the BTCC. Turner also set a new lap record of 1m11.711s.

Marco Andretti Talks About Doing the Double with Indycar and ALMS


Marco Andretti raced in Lime Rock and Nashville on the same day

Marco Andretti arrived at Lime Rock Park and back in the American Le Mans Series on Saturday morning, just hours after arriving Friday night from Nashville and qualifying for the IndyCar Series. Andretti will drive Andretti Green Racing's Acura ARX-01b with Franck Montagny and was third-fastest overall (second in LMP2) in Saturday morning's 25-minute warmup. After starting from the rear of the field this afternoon and following his first stint, Andretti will fly back to Nashville for tonight's IndyCar race. He spoke on the experience Saturday morning.
