After qualifying on the front row just 0.6 seconds off the Aston Martin DBRS9 of John Kaias, Peter Lucas, who has steadily improved over 2 years of competition bagged a new lap record of 1min:33.45s for the category in the Lotus. A record previously held by Paul Stokell in a Lamborghini Diablo GTR.

After a tough debut the Black Swan Ford GT-R (second in line) is ready for Mid Ohio

Friday at Lime Rock Park, Tim Pappas said all he wanted to see was his Black Swan Racing finish the American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix. That may not sound like much but consider that the team didn't receive its Falken-shod Ford GT-R until earlier that morning. So Saturday's eighth-place finish for Pappas and co-driver Anthony Lazzaro was more than gratifying.
