Oulton Park saw its fair share of incidents

Oulton Park race 1 - Plato controls it from the front
Jason Plato won the first of today's three HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship rounds at the Oulton Park circuit in Cheshire.

Plato led away from pole position in his SEAT Leon TDI but team mate and fellow front row qualifying Darren Turner was passed by a fast starting Tom Chilton from third on the grid.

Schnieder won out over the changing weather to take the win

Bernd Schneider (Genuine Parts AMG Mercedes C-Class) won the seventh
round of the 2008 DTM at the Nurburgring. After 43 laps in changeable
weather conditions, Schneider -- starting sixth - crossed the finish
line 5.7sec ahead of Paul Di Resta (AMG Mercedes C-Class) who had
qualified 12th. Jamie Green (Salzgitter AMG Mercedes C-Class) in
third and Gary Paffett with last year's stern AMG Mercedes C-Class
completed the quadruple success for the AMG Mercedes C-Class.

Brands Hatch: BMW and Chevrolet Share the Spoils + Results


Muller took race 1 for BMW

Jorg Muller of BMW Team Germany and Alain Menu for Chevrolet claimed a win apiece after two breathtaking races at Brands Hatch. The German drivers has become the eleventh different driver to step on the highest podium after the first 14 rounds of the season. As for Menu, this was his second win of the season and his third in the WTCC at Brands Hatch in three years.

Youngest GT Open pair take maiden victory for Roger Racing

A special round of the International GT Open like this one in the new Valencia Street Circuit needed a special, emotional touch. José Luis Pampló and Miquel Julià contributed it, by taking a deserved victory that was saluted with warmth by everybody. Not only this was the maiden victory for the pair driving Escudería's Roger Ferrari F430, but Miquel and José Luis are the youngest driver pair in the series (their added ages barely pass 40 years) and they are true local heroes, as Pampló is from Valencia and Julià from neighboring Mallorca.

Autorlando's pair take third seasonal win

Richard Lietz and Gianluca Roda have won with authority the GTA Valencia Street Circuit GT Open, after dominating the race from flag to flag in their Autorlando Porsche 997 RSR, which today was extremely competitive. The Austrian-Italian pair had no trouble in controlling the race, beating Giacomo Ricci-Matteo Bobbi, who confirmed the return to the top of GPC Sport, and the Portuguese pair of Playteam SaraFree, Gião-Couceiro, once again in the podium, the sixth this year. Today's win is the third this season and marks a good draw between Ferrari and Porsche in this historic first event in the impressive new Valencia Street Circuit.

Sugo: First 2008 Win for the TAKATA DOME NSX is a Pole-to-Checkered Dash!


The Takata Dome NSX took the win from pole in a great weekend for the team

On July 27, the “SUGO GT 300KM RACE,” Round 5 of the 2008 AUTOBACS SUPER GT, was held at Sports land SUGO in Miyagi Prefecture. In the GT500 class the No. 18 TAKATA DOME NSX driven by Ryo Michigami and Takashi Kogure scored a pole-to-checkered win. In the GT300 class, the No. 43 ARTA Garaiya driven by Morio Nitta and Shinichi Takagi came from the second position on the starting grid to take the victory.
