Valencia: Third Win of the Season for Jeroen Bleekemolen

Stuttgart. Jeroen Bleekemolen (Netherlands) secured the maiden Porsche victory at the harbour of Valencia. At the tenth round of the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup on the new street circuit, the current points' leader controlled the field right from the start and left his opponents no chance. With his third win of the season, the Jetstream Motorsport PZ Essen pilot further increased his lead in the championship.

CANADA (Aug. 24, 2008) – Michael Galati, of Olmsted, Ohio, took his second SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car win of 2008, topping the field in the Mosport SPEED Touring Car Presented by Toyo Tires at the Mobil 1 Presents the Grand Prix of Mosport. After some last-corner Mosport International Raceway fireworks, Jason Saini , of Fort Worth , Texas , clinched the Rookie of the Year honors by finishing second, and Milwaukee ’s Peter Cunningham completed the podium, clinching the Manufacturers’ Championship for Acura.

Mosport: Curran Gets First Win of 2008 in SPEED GT Thriller

CANADA (Aug. 23, 2008) – After a heartbreaking start to the season, Eric Curran, of East Hampton, Mass., claimed the second half of 2008 SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge GT Championship would be a fresh start for the Whelen Engineering team. Curran was true to his word, winning the Mosport SPEED GT Presented by Toyo Tires, part of the Mobil 1 Presents the Grand Prix of Mosport. Championship leader Randy Pobst, of Gainesville , Ga. , was second at Mosport International Raceway, followed by his teammate Michael Galati, of Olmsted , Ohio .

Suzuka: Nissan Take Win with Matsuda and Phillipe


The cool Suzuka temperature did not prevent a number of mechanical issues through the 1000km race

On July 27, the 37th International Pokka 1000Km Race, Round 6 of the 2008 AUTOBACS SUPER GT, was held at the Suzuka Circuit (one lap 5.807 km ~173 laps) in Mie Prefecture and the GT500 class winner was the CALSONIC GT-R driven by Tsugio Matsuda and Sebastien Philippe.

Mosport: Audi Win but De Ferran Heartbreak Closes LMP2 Title Race

Traffic at Mosport International Raceway did little to faze Audi Sport North America's Lucas Luhr and Marco Werner on Sunday as they drove to their third straight overall American Le Mans Series victory in the Mobil 1 presents the Grand Prix of Mosport. Luhr crossed the finish line 21.392 seconds ahead of teammate Emanuele Pirro as Gil de Ferran ran out of fuel on the last lap while leading in LMP2. That sent David Brabham and Scott Sharp to their fourth class victory of the season.
