The competitors in the V de V endurance fields found the Lausitz EuroSpeedway track an exceptional venue. There was no lack of words in praise of it, both from the drivers, who had to adapt to and understand a highly technical and impressive track, and from the teams who appreciated this grandiose site.

The summer weather conditions at the start of the weekend gave way on Sunday morning to a veritable deluge for the race start. The top drivers from each team lined up for the start under these perilous conditions to try not to make any mistakes during the first stint. The English were rubbing their hands with glee, already imagining themselves at the top of the classifications.

The front of any American Le Mans Series grid gets plenty of attention. But the GT2 action has been fast and furious all season. It also has been the closest championship battle throughout the 2008 season, which is starting to wind down.

Ganassi could win the title at New Jersey

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Aug. 27, 2008) - America's newest road circuit is set to hold its first professional racing weekend, as the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 visits New Jersey Motorsports Park for Sunday's Supercar Life 250. The Daytona Prototype and GT classes will tackle the 14-turn, 2.25-mile Thunderbolt Raceway in the event - which will cover 250 miles (112 laps) with a two-hour and 45-minute time limit - at 1:07 p.m. Sunday. The race will be televised live on SPEED (1 p.m. ET Sunday).

Ingolstadt – For the first time, Audi Sport will offer a racing sports car specifically developed for customer use in the form of the powerful 500 hp plus GT3 version of the Audi R8 which will be available from autumn 2009. The logistics and factory space required for the AUDI AG customer programme will be created over the next few months in Ingolstadt, Neckarsulm and Györ.
