SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (Sept. 19, 2008) - It's been a learning season for Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 rookie Ricardo Zonta, racing on unfamiliar circuits while his team developed a new Daytona Prototype chassis. Friday, it all came together on the final lap of qualifying, as the Brazilian Formula One veteran captured the pole for the 2008 season finale in the No. 76 Krohn Racing Pontiac Lola.

The LMS season may be over but Charouz Aston Martin are keeping busy

Yamamoto And Primat Tested Charouz LMP1 Car

Formula 1 test driver Sakon Yamamoto and Harold Primat tested Charouz Racing System prototype at Brno this week. They shared the Aston Martin powered LMP1 prototype. The Japanese driver of the ING Renault F1 team ran in both dry and wet conditions. Primat drove only on Wednesday when the track was dry.

Fortunately Risi Competizione was not hugely affected by Hurricane Ike

There have been more than a few tense moments for Risi Competizione in the past week. The Houston-based team sits on the same site as Ferrari of Houston, owned by team principal Guiseppe Risi. Hurricane Ike damaged the dealership but spared the racing infrastructure.
