Canadian Touring Car 2008 Champions Crowned

The Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship Presented by Toyo Tires concluded its 2008 season at Mosport International Raceway on September 13/14, 2008. There were 16 races over eight different race weekends in 2008. The Championship visited five different racetracks in Quebec and Ontario including Mosport International Raceway, ICAR at Mirabel, Shannonville Motorsport Park, Trois-Rivieres and Calabogie Motorsports Park.

INDIANAPOLIS (September 22, 2008) - After taking on a new project in the IndyCar Series this season, Conquest Racing will now be taking on a second one as it makes its first foray into the world of sports car racing. The open-wheel team announced today that it will be present at Petit Le Mans on October 4 by providing Zytek and Team LNT with personnel, engineering and logistical support.

September 22, 2008 -- Sonoma, Calif --The final countdown for the 2008 ALMS championship has begun. Just two races remain of the 11-race season: Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta and the Monterey Sports Car Championships at Laguna Seca. The flagship race of the ALMS season, Petit Le Mans -- which runs 1000 miles (or 10 hours maximum) -- will be held on October 4. The 4-hour season finale at Laguna Seca will be held on October 18.
