Suntrust Racing have swapped their Pontiac engines for Ford engines for 2009

ATLANTA (Nov. 24, 2008) -- The No. 10 SunTrust Dallara Daytona Prototype of Wayne Taylor Racing will enter its sixth season of Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series competition in 2009 with a new engine manufacturer for the very first time.

Honda Engine Approved For Grand-Am Rolex Series Competition

Margraf Racing, working in conjunction with Comptech USA, has successfully completed the approval process of a Honda engine for use in Daytona Prototypes of the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16. The Honda engine is a production based 24 valve, DOHC V6, displacing 3.9 liters.

Sylvain Tremblay has a "good problem". He is seeking to lead the SpeedSource Castrol Mazda RX-8 team to a repeat win at the 2009 Rolex 24 at Daytona. Sylvain is searching for a fourth driver to join the team of Tremblay, Nick Ham, and David Haskell. While every team owner has a stack of driver resumes to consider, Tremblay has a list of several dozen who have all won with Mazda power in the past year.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Nov. 19, 2008) - Grand-Am Road Racing has rescheduled its January Test Days at Daytona International Speedway, the opening activity on its 2009 schedule. The three-day session will now begin on Saturday, Jan. 3, and run through Monday, Jan. 5, one day later than previously scheduled.

AIM Autosport have confirmed the drivers for the #61 car

AIM Autosport announced today that Mark Wilkins is back at the wheel of the No. 61 Ford Riley and for the 2009 season he will be joined by former team mate Burt Frisselle. The pair last raced together in 2007 as Burt worked with the team through its first full season in the Rolex Sports Car Series. The twenty-seven year old Frisselle first raced in the series in 2004.
