Lexus got off to the perfect start with the win at Daytona
Two championships, a Rolex 24 at Daytona victory and a host of records were among the many highlights for Lexus during the 2008 Grand-American Rolex Sports Car Series Daytona Prototype season.
Lexus-powered drivers Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas took home the series driver’s championship, while their Chip Ganassi Racing team garnered its third series title in the past five years to increase Lexus’ championship haul to six since entering the series in 2004.

LAS VEGAS (Sept. 23, 2008) - The top performers of 2008 were honored Monday night at the Bellagio Resort before a record crowd in the annual Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 Champions Banquet.
Champions Scott Pruett, Memo Rojas, Kelly Collins, Paul Edwards, Pontiac and Riley won major accolades at the gala fete.

Ganassi took a third Championship - with a little help?
TOOELE, Utah (Sept. 20, 2008) - Raphael Matos bookended the 2008 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 season. After winning the GT class in the season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona back in January, Matos made his return to the series by winning in his first Daytona Prototype start.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (Sept. 19, 2008) - It's been a learning season for Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 rookie Ricardo Zonta, racing on unfamiliar circuits while his team developed a new Daytona Prototype chassis. Friday, it all came together on the final lap of qualifying, as the Brazilian Formula One veteran captured the pole for the 2008 season finale in the No. 76 Krohn Racing Pontiac Lola.

Pontiac Grand-Am GT teams will be involved in a three way battle for the Rolex Series GT championship in the final round of the Grand-Am Rolex Series Sunrichgourmet.com 1000-kilometer race to be held at Miller Motorsport Park on September 20. NASCAR's relationship with Grand Am has become even tighter
NASCAR Holdings today announced an agreement to acquire the Grand-American Road Racing Association (Grand-Am). The future move will allow for resource sharing between Grand-Am and NASCAR while both organizations continue to operate independently. NASCAR Holdings is the legal operating entity that includes the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) and many of its subsidiaries.

AIM Announces Adds Cristiano Da Matta For Miller Grand Am Race
AIM Autosport today announced their driver lineup for the SunRichGourmet.com1000 presented by The Grand and Little America Hotels at Miller Motorsport Park in Tooele, Utah. Joining Brian Frisselle and Mark Wilkins in the Exchange Traded Gold No. 61 Ford Riley will be 2002 CART champion Cristiano da Matta. Making his return to racing in May 2008, da Matta drove a Riley Daytona Prototype at Laguna Seca Raceway.

The #60 took a long overdue win
MILLVILLE, N.J. (Aug. 31, 2008) - Oswaldo Negri held off Max Angelelli by .459 seconds Sunday to win the first professional feature race at New Jersey Motorsports Park, the Supercar Life 250, while Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas clinched the Daytona Prototype team championship with a ninth-place finish in a backup car.
