Le Mans
Zytek Motorsport have been rumoured to be racing a hybrid electric power at Le Mans next year.
With the current Zytek car needing changes to reach 2007 ACO regulations, the team have been rumoured to be making a hybrid powered racecar. The firm has been leaders in hybrid electric technology for many years and the ACO is trying to encourage different forms of powering their racing. Zytek are at 50/50 to whether they do this next year.
FeedMeSportscars believes this could happen. With special rules being made for Audi, a precedent is set for this kind of new racing. The ACO are also looking at ways of differing themselves from regular forms of racing and becoming more eco and business friendly, and this is the way to do it. Expect this to happen. If not with Zytek, then it will happen with someone else.
