The final round of the Le Mans Series ended very prematurely for Team Bruichladdich Radical. After a good start and holding the pace of the Lolas Stuart Moseley reported a misfire after just forty minutes.
Despite nursing the car on his way back to the pits the engine expired ending the race for the team. 2006 isn’t over for the team however with an American Le Mans Series debut at Laguna Seca, California on 21st October.
Quotes
Tim Greaves, Team Owner and Driver “The car was running very hot. The radiator got blocked with wire mesh from another car which caused ours to overheat and as Stuart was bringing it back to the pits it let go. We were keeping pace with the two Lolas. Stuart was comfortable and letting the race unfold so it’s very disappointing.”
Stuart Moseley, Driver “The car was quick. It’s such a disappointing end to the LMS season but at least we’ve got Laguna Seca to get a podium in our debut season.”
