It could be good news from both Penske and Champion

News that came from the Detroit paddock is that two of the major ALMS teams will continue as is for 2008.

It appears that Porsche are in negotiation with Penske to continue their two car effort in 2008 as mentioned by SPEED. It is likely that the 2007 arrangement will continue in 2008 although the driver lineup is not settled at this time.

That is also true of Champion who will continue their works relationship with Audi. While the final details have not been confirmed at this time, it does appear that the relationship is set to continue as it is in 2007.

This brings some stability to the ALMS and ensures that Audi will continue their fight against Porsche albeit in different classes.
