After former Grand Prix driver Hans-Joachim Stuck was appointed to parent company, Volkswagen in a management position, the rumour mill started up again regarding the potential Audi entry to F1.
But that twelfth spot seems to be empty after the Prodrive bid failed and Audi boss, Wolfgang Ullrich rubbished those rumours stating to Eurosport MotorMagazin that
"We have a defined motor sports programme with the marketing and product aspects fully covered"
