Could Peugeot be the first to race a hybrid engine at Le Mans?
Rumours have surfaced that link Peugeot with a diesel-hybrid engine.
Motorsport News has reported that Peugeot Sport could utilise a diesel hybrid engine for their 908 in the future.
It is thought that the new Peugeot CEO Jean Philippe Collin could be making the announcement as soon as the media launch for the Le Mans 24 Hours this year and race it as soon as the Shanghai 1000 at the end of the year.
Peugeot and their partner Citroen are to introduce diesel-hybrid engines to their road car range in 2010.
