The Barazi Epsilon Zytek came to America to prepare for the Le Mans Series season and to better prepare for the 2008, 24 Hours of Le Mans. But it did not all go so smoothly for the former Le Mans Series champions.
Third driver for the squad J-C.Ravier was working his way through the field part way through the race when the car got a little out of shape. In his attempts to correct the car, it ‘tank-slapped’ him straight into the barrier.
The TV cameras were focused on the car and it shows the heaviness of the accident and the strength of the cars.
It made for an expensive trip to Sebring for the squad who will now have their work cut out for them to make it to Spain with a complete car for the first round of the title.
