The Australian GT Championship for 2008 kicked off as a support act for the A1GP and race 3 saw appalling weather conditions.
But that did not stop the drivers racing hard in their exotic machines. Allan Simonsen started his 2008 winning form at Eastern Creek that weekend, winning the first two races of the weekend.
He also showed the field how to race in the wet but there were some outstanding performances from other drivers in the field.
