With 24 Hours of Le Mans only a few short weeks away, speculation about the field is increasing and the one car that seems to be giving the most room for conversation is the Racing Box Lucchini.
This car was withdrawn from the last Le Mans Series round in Spa to try to sort out serious problems with the car. It is thought that upgrades from the factory for this car acutally made things worse, rather than better for the 2008 campaign.
The problems do not end there for the Italian team with drivers Marco Didaio and Marco Savoldi quitting the team. This is thought to be due to the handlelling of the car.
Whether the Racing Box Lucchini is ready for Le Mans is still to be seen but in any case, testing the car for major handelling faults weeks before Le Mans is never a good thing.
If Racing Box do decide to withdraw, the second Epslion Euskadi will be entered and the team has indicated that they will enter the second car if asked. A possible driver lineup for this car is unknown at this stage.

Worrying times for Racing Box. But one question was raised - how could a make that gets it so right with LMP3 cars get it so wrong with and LMP2?
