- The clouds left and the cars changed from wets or inters to dry tyres. The Audis and the Modena Aston Martin were the first to take the plunge but struggled to begin with but soon the track dried enough to bring in the rest of the field. The Peugeots soon started to lap a few seconds quicker than the Audi, possibly allowing the race to fought to the end.
- The Zytek #32 went straight on at the Playstation chicane. The flapping tread of its left rear tyre damaged the body on the rear and the tail. Stuart Moseley came back slowly to the pits for repairs and was back on track shortly after. The Zytek is now at the 27th place.
- Willman in Creation Judd #23 breaks the gearbox at the second Mulsanne chicane and retires.
