
Day 1 of Round 4 at Eastern Creek saw some of the GT field take to the circuit for unofficial non-compulsory practice. The first session was red flagged after a handful of laps when David Stevens (Ferrari 430) made heavy contact with the wall at turn 9 putting him out of the weekend prematurely. Dave was thankfully OK however the rear of the car will require considerable rebuild prior to Round 5 at Phillip Island to get it back on track
Aston Martin topped the time sheets on day 1 with John Kaias setting the fastest time of the day with a 1.34.2907 in the second session followed by Peter Hackett with a1.34.9
Mark Krashos had clutch problems with his Porsche GT3 Cup Car which resulted in a late night working on the car which will be back on track tomorrow morning at 9.00am
