Spa 24h: SRT - Ready for Spa Despite Crash Damage

Despite being forced to withdraw from the two FFSA GT Championship races at Spa, for which they had qualified 3rd and 1st, after a serious crash on the Raidillon, SRT's Corvette C6R will be full repaired and back in action for the Total 24 Hours of Spa.

" It all went horribly wrong”, explained team manager Patrick Selleslagh. “Ayari crashed out on the Radillion and the Corvette C6.R was seriously damaged. But after a check-up, it became clear that no vital parts were touched. The engine and chassis were ok, but it was impossible for us to rebuild the car on the track, so we had to go back home, to the workshop. The impact of the crash was rather important, but the car will be ok for the Spa 24 Hours. We’ll have lots of work, but we were already planning a complete rebuild before the Spa 24 Hours. The fight for the French championship is now over, I’m very sad for Bruno Hernandez. But let’s face the future and see each other in Spa in ten days time.”
