Whispers about a new GT1 car to the ALMS have emerged, somewhat from left field.
Brandon Davis could be bringing his Ford Mustang over from the SCCA Speed GT series and racing it in the ALMS, in a similar way that the Viper and Corvette Z06 came to the series.
Marshall Pruett of SpeedTV.com has broken this story and is reporting that the Mustang could reach over 700hp which would make it a worthy competitor for the Corvettes - at least on the straight.

Well this would make a welcome change from the Corvette vs Corvette and sometimes with an Aston Martin comes in. The car has had a lot of modification and it seems Davis has deep pockets - so this could happen.
