Unlike the Challenge Endurance GT/Tourisme, the leaders of the Challenge Endurance VHC will not miss an opportunity to notch up a hefty load of points. With their superb 1974 Porsche 3.0 RSR N°17, Patrick Biehler and Marc De Siebenthal should have lots of fun mixing it with the moderns. The car, prepared in Marc's Swiss workshops, will also be driven by the man who has lent a hand for the long races, his brother, Olivier.
Behind them on provisional classification, Geoff McConville and Hal Catherwood should also be out to have fun up against the moderns with their Chevron B16 N°77. They will be attempting to catch up with the leading Porsche, with the pressure off from Jean-Marc Luco and Patrick Ancelet who will be absent. They will have to contend with the return of the three Chevrons team Chevron B16, repaired after blowing its engine at the « Nevers Magny-Cours 12-Hours». The Scemama brothers, Michel, Yves and Philippe are sure to want to shine again and move up in classification.

The little Elva MK8 drivers, Yann Le Calvez, Sylvain Guanzini and Loïc Deman, will need to cool their ardours to finish a clean race and take the first step podium that they have deserved since the start of the season. The Championnat de France strong runners, Philippe Burel and Patrick Brossard, teamed up with Guillaume Van de Vyver in the yellow Porsche N°6 of V de V Organisation, will be taking part just for fun, but also to pick up points counting towards a win in the GTS11 category in the Challenge.
They will have their work cut out against local men Andreas Kunert and Achim Peitzmeier who will be bidding for a win on their home ground in the colours of the Porsche 911 2-litre N°69 of Sigaud Racing. Eric Belooussoff, Benoît Lusseaud and Alain Rueda, will be giving them a run for their money in the same car, N°33.
And to finish up, Eric Havette will be sharing the wheel of the Porsche 2.7-litre RS prepared by LD Racing with Gilles Fabre while Lionel Deslandes, Pierre Petitgas and Bernard Tironneau will be staking a claim to fame in the little Lotus Seven N°21 of the Malti Compétition stable.
