The "GlycoMax Endurance Challenge," a contingency program that was announced earlier this season at the Rolex 24 At Daytona, will contest its second round at Watkins Glen International for the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, June 2-3. The award provides $4,000 to the highest combined points earners in both the Daytona Prototype and GT classes from the three endurance races on the schedule.
All teams that competed in this season’s Rolex 24 At Daytona are currently eligible to compete for the award. Those teams must display the GlycoMax sticker on their car during the two remaining endurance races – this weekend’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen and the Discount Tire SunChaser 9–Hour at Miller Motorsports Park, September 2.
The No. 02 Target Chip Ganassi Racing Lexus Riley finished first in this season’s twice-around-the-clock race, and leads the No. 60 Michael Shank Racing Lexus Riley and the No. 23 Ruby Tuesday Championship Race Team Porsche Crawford. In GT, the No. 36 TPC Racing Porsche took the opening round at Daytona, and leads the No. 65 TRG Pontiac GTO.R and the No. 82 Farnbacher Racing Porsche.
During the Rolex 24 At Daytona weekend earlier this season, GlycoMax was announced as the official Performance Drink of both the Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Special Reserve and the Grand-Am Cup Series.
GlycoMax is the first scientifically-proven, performance-enhancing drink on the market and is used by elite athletes for maximum performance. The formula is tailored to increase their concentration, time to exhaustion and hydration. The blood sugar stabilizing quality of GlycoMax allows a driver to stay energized and focused over long periods of exertion.
The success of GlycoMax is tested and published in the International Journal of Sports Nutrition. A unique feature of GlycoMax is the ability to customize the formula to each driver's blood chemistry. This optimizes the effect of GlycoMax for the exact conditions the driver will experience each race day. GlycoMax is specifically formulated for the requirements of different sports.
Drivers who use GlycoMax have reported greater focus and consistency while on track. They feel stronger, faster and smarter. GlycoMax currently works with drivers and teams in the Rolex Series and the Grand-Am Cup Series, including Burt and Brian Frisselle, David Murry, Kelly Collins, Guy Cosmo, Andy Lally, Synergy Racing and Sigalsport BMW.
