With all the hype surrounding Petit Le Mans entries, it seems we could be in for more news.
A poster at the ten-tenths forums has indicated that the Chamberlain Lola B06/10 has been purchased by none other than Autocon Motorsports to be campaigned for the rest of 2008 and 2009. This would come with technical support from Chamberlain.
The Creation CA-06H was grandfathered into the ALMS with many updates being needed - the one most obvious to the casual observer is the double roll hoops - seemingly simple but needing a new tub - expensive. Autocon would run with a turbo AER engine. With that in mind, it does make some sense to purchase this ready made and developed car - despite its age.
It is unclear at this time if this is a move by Chamberlain, who have struggled to field cars in the Le Mans Series this year, to move out of the sport or whether they will purchase another car.
Where this leaves the Mansell brothers efforts (sons of F1 Champ, Nigel) is unclear as it was widely reported that they tested the Chamberlain car with a view to Petit Le Mans.

Yes this is from a forum post and we don't usually take our rumour from such sources but this one we thought we would bring this to you to make up your own mind. Of course should anything official come out, we will bring it to you as well.
