RUMOUR: ALMS - An Update on Petit Le Mans

With Petit Le Mans less then two weeks away, the rumours regarding the entry list has not ceased despite constant announcements.

While most expected two Peugeot 908s, the team will in fact only run one car after the damage experienced at Silverstone. An odd move considering the resources Peugeot should have and that they would want revenge on Audi. They have, however turned their attention to 2009.

As reported here on feedmesportscars.com, Autocon has purchased the Chamberlain Lola and will race that car at Petit.

The Barazi Epsilon Zytek will not make the trip over from Europe, meaning that there will be no P2 runners from Europe at Petit

Europe will be well represented in P1. Not only with the Peugeot running, Creation will bring over Creation AIM CA07s and there is the LNT Zytek, Eco Radical completeing the European Prototype bid.

There is also European represnetation in GT2 as JMB brings their Ferrari to America.

The driver market however has seen a slight dip in the GT field as the FIA GT races in France so the likes of Westbrook and Collard will not race at Petit.
