The #77 retired in this hour
The state of play after 4 Hours
- The #77 Falbermayr-Proton Porsche 911 GT3 RSR was stopped at the entrance of the pit lane since 16:54. Richard Lietz did his very best to try and repair the fuel pump, but failed to do so. The car officially retired at 17:32. A big disappointment for the German driver and his whole team.
- The Chinese LM GT2 driven by the Bulgarian rookie Plamen Kralev goes slowly and eventually stops around 18.20 on the Mulsanne straight, just after the second chicane. The car has some fuel feed problems.
- Franck Montagny, in the #8 Peugeot, has just handed over the wheel to Stéphane Sarrazin, having run for over three hours and 51 laps in the lead.
At the start of the race, the former F1 driver resisted Allan McNish's assault, before putting extra distance between the two cars.
After a triple stint, the #8 car is now one lap ahead of sister #9 car driven by Marc Géné. The latter then handed over the car to David Brabham.
Both cars are running on new tyres, with #8 in first position, and #9 in second position. - The LM P2 Ginetta of the Quifel ASM Team finished in the gravel bed around 18.25. Miguel Amaral needed the help of a tractor to be towed out before he could rejoin the track ten minutes later. He eventually drove slowly to his garage, with the front right wing needing to be rebuilt.
