LM24: After 10 Hours

Stuart Hall was excluded for his crash earlier in the day with the Radical

The state of play after 10 hours

  • Stuart Hall who was driving #009 Aston has been excluded from the meeting by the Stewards for his part in the accident with #26 Radical. There is no appeal.

  • The #32 Zytek 07S was 6th in LM P2 just before the end of the 9th hour, 23rd overall.

Around 23:30, during Phil Bennett's stint, one of the pedals broke. The Englishman had no choice but to bring the car back to the pits.

The pit stop was longer than expected, as the mechanics had to take the front end apart.

After a 50 minute repair, the car returned to the track at 0:20, with Stuart Moseley at the wheel. The car however had fallen down the leader board, from 23rd overall and 6th in class, to 40th overall and 8th in class.

  • The Brazilian driver had a bit of a nasty encounter during his first nighttime stint. The Oreca driver managed to bring the car back to the pits despite losing the rear wing and damage to the front right bodywork. The repairs are taking a considerable amount of time, as the mechanics have to change the undertray and the rear wing.
