- Toyota is in the news again. The good word seems to say they will exit F1 with immediate effect. This would leave a lot of room for a LMP program and with a Dome chassis that is ready - a nice marriage could be on the cards. Toyota, of course could then develop a hybrid for 2011
- BMW could be running four cars in the ALMS in 2010. Like Toyota above, they will not have a festering pile of F1 to take all their money, so an increased effort could be on the cards. They are also anxious to homologate the car for European racing too...
- Coupe cars could be on their way out if the new ACO rules for 2011 are taken with out change. Teams say that without some kind of restrictor advantage for the coupes, it is not worth the trouble
- Bio-butane could be another fuel source for the future. Dyson Racing ran it in at the end of the 2009 season to test its performance in a car ineligible for points. While the ALMS and ACO determine its overall performance, word is that gave many advantages - and fits the green agenda too
- The Asian Le Mans Series was considered a success. Now they need to build it into Series and get more Asian competitors - easy
