Today we catch up with some driver movements, plus more from from the world of ACO racing!
- Autocon Motorsports indicated in a recent press release that they are looking at tackling Le Mans in 2010. They are looking at keeping the Lola B06/10 machine and will have a driver stepping in as 2009 racer – Chris McMurry will step out of the cockpit. They also could have a new engine as the current package (AER) is being reconsidered.
- Epsilon Euskadi is not dead and neither is the EE2. In talking to Endurance Info, the team mentioned that the car is finalised, it just needs financial partners
- We have heard rumours here that Toyota are testing in Spain. They did not sell their race facilities and have committed to some racing in Europe. We will not speculate too much but we are trying to find more on this story
- This may not be unrelated to the story above – as ALMS boss, Scott Atherton was a special guest at the launch of the Lexus LFA supercar
- You probably all know by now, but we will tell you anyway, Mitch Pagerey will drive in Intersport’s LMPC car, Speedy/Sebah will test Cyndie Allemann, Rahel Frey, Natacha Gachnang, Mathias Beche and Jonathan Hirschi, along with Dunlop tyres. More driver news to come over the off-season…
