Today we look into news from Grand Am, Le Mans Series and what a bunch of ALMS drivers are up to.
- A couple of Daytona 24 line ups for you:
Team Seattle - Leh Keen, James Gue, (former winner) Don Kitch Jr. and a 4th driver to be announced.
TRG #63 - Henri Richard, Rene Villeneuve, Zak Brown, Richard Dean and Mark Thomas
TRG #66 - Seth Neiman, Johannes van Overbeek, Joerg Bermeister and Patrick Long
TRG #67 - Tim George, Jr., Andy Lally, Spencer Pumpelly, Bobby Labonte and Wolf Henzler. You may notice that the #66 car is full of Flying Lizards. This is because TRG and Flying Lizard Motorsports have gone into partnership for Daytona. "Joining with Seth and all of the guys at Flying Lizard is a welcome opportunity for everyone. The Flying Lizard organization is the only other current Porsche GT-style team to have had such a long and healthy run in sports car racing, and I couldn't be more proud to run with them and mutually achieve another victory for Porsche," Kevin Buckler - TRG Owner said. "We have a great history with Johannes, and especially Patrick and Joerg, and I'm sure we'll put on one heck of a show. And it will be great racing with my friends!!"
- American Le Mans Series stars Oliver Gavin, Johnny Mowlem and Guy Smith will contend the London Marathon in April 2010. They join other sportscar names as Andy Priaulx, Darren Turner, Peter Dumbreck and Richard Westbrook who will compete in the event.
- Sylvain Boulay is on his way back to Le Mans. Having competed 10 times with WR and Durango, the Frenchman will race in 2011 with his own project. It is likely to be a prototype and could race in the Le Mans Series too - with an unnamed Mexican driver. He did not rule out racing in 2010 either - althogh details are scant at present, we should learn more in the new year.
