In today's news we have a Daytona 24 update, news on one very popular sportscar driver, updates from Lola and the SCCA World Challenge.
- Tom Kristensen has been voted Danish "Sportsman of the Decade". The eight-time Le Mans winner beat such popular athletes as tennis pro Caroline Wozniacki, bicycle racer Michael Rasmussen and U.S. football star Morten Andersen in the TV channel "TV2" and major daily newspaper "Berlingske Tidende" voting.
"I'd like to thank everyone who voted for me and helped me receive these two awards," said the Audi driver. "Ten years ago, I wouldn't have even dreamed of being so successful some day. But back then I had the great fortune of joining Audi. It's a big privilege to have been a member of one of the world's best race teams for as much as a decade now." said Kristensen.

- Mark Wilkins and Burt Frisselle will join John Pew and Ozz Negri in the #60 Michael Shank Ford Riley
- Luke Hines joins Miller Barrett Racing in their #48 Porsche GT
- Jim Pace, Tim Sugden, Eric Lux and James Walker will drive the #64 JLowe Porsche GT - Lola have announced that they are launching a scheme to assist teams wanting to race their prototype cars in both USA and Europe. Included in this scheme is the offering of deferred payment structures and a freeze on all 2009 spares prices for the coming season.
- The SCCA World Challenge Championships will be shown on Verses in the USA in 2010. The Championship previously sponsored by SpeedTV will have extended programming in 2010
