LMS
Following an interview published at www.the-paddock.net, there is speculation about the 2007 LMS season.
The 2007 championship will still have five rounds as the 2006 season did. The Spanish round will move from Valencia to Barcelona next year with the UK, Italy, Germany and Belgium gaining races. Turkey is also out of the 2006 season. One thing that could happen is a round in Asia, most likely in China.
FeedMeSportscars believes that taking the series outside Europe is a mistake at this stage. With the financial position of most of its competitors and the relative interest that LMS has in China, this move could prove to be a mistake. Rather the LMS should look at further European venues like in the Netherlands where support for the series is huge. The LMS should grow in stature before venturing for rounds outside the fanbase.
