TRG’s trials and tribulations leading up to and including the 24 Hours at Daytona has become a documentary film titled Fueled: GTO'Rs Return to Racing. The team, crew, drivers and everyone associated with the TRG Daytona program are the subject of a six-part documentary story that was produced by noted film maker Sean Heckman and Michael Hacker.
Fueled follows the team and team owner Kevin Buckler in the planning, practice, running and managing of the TRG GTO.Rs as they are prepared for the Grand American Rolex Series Presented by Crown Royal Reserve Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona.
"I'm thrilled to have found a project which combined my love of motorsports with documentary television,” said Sean Heckman. “The goal of iNHD was to produce a series that really focused on the human challenges of Daytona, and provide a compelling storyline that even fans outside of sports-car racing could enjoy."
"I've been a fan of TRG ever since my Dad and I watched Kevin winning at
Infineon Raceway back in 1995! A couple years ago I came up with the idea of
trying to do an endurance racing documentary, and TRG was the first place I
called. As soon as the GTO deal came about last year, all of a sudden I had
a really compelling hook to the show. I've got to give a lot of credit to Kevin and TRG for keeping their doors open to me throughout the process of pitching this to various networks."
"A lot of reality shows are anything but 'reality.' Between scripted sound-bytes and forced scenarios, there are a lot of programs in this genre that fall a little short of what they claim. I can proudly say that none of this exists with this series. The interviews are real, and there are no 'rehearsed' scenes. We just kept the cameras rolling as much as we could. We've got 300 hours of footage to prove it."
“Sean has been great to work with on this project,” said TRG’s Kevin Buckler. “His resume is very impressive and the attention to detail coupled with the human drama is something I am looking forward to seeing. He has followed several key members of the team through their daily routine from work outs, working, office issues and politics, inner team struggles as well as a lot of footage away from the office. It truly is a start to finish documentary of the inner workings of what it takes a business and a group of people to get from concept to checkered flag at the Rolex 24. There are many stories up and down the pit lane, but Sean thought ours was one of the more compelling. I am anxious to see the finished product and the how we have prepared and raced through the lens and ultimately someone else’s eye.”
The show consists of six-one- half-hour episodes and is airing on iNHD. iNHD is available on Adelphia, Bright House, Cablevision, Comcast, Cox, and Time Warner cable systems, the channels are available to more than 47 million subscribers and are enjoyed by over 4 Million HI-DEF households. iNHD and iNHD2 are owned and operated by iN DEMAND Networks -- the company′s shareholders are Comcast iN DEMAND Holdings, Inc., Cox Communications Holdings, Inc., and Time Warner Entertainment - Advance/Newhouse Partnership.
