After a dominating performance at Road America, the Audi R10 could be hit with more penalties.
Audi were very displeased before the race after the IMSA eased the weight and fuel restrictions on the Dyson cars. After complaining bitterly, Audi then went and dominated the race. The next step - more penalties to Audi. There have been rumblings about how the ACO and IMSA underestimated the speed of the diesel technology and want to ensure all other cars have a legitimate chance of victory.
FeedMeSportscars believes that while the Audi technology was underestimated, the Dyson car is not fully sorted and up to speed. Additional rule changes should be held off until next year. This will appease Audi, give them the championship they deserve and will not confuse fans.
